Press and Preservation of Bayou Culture

Well, down on the bayou, preservation is definitely newsworthy. There's the preservation of culture, lifestyle, and, of course, the wetlands.

In our first season, The Bayou Playhouse presented three different shows that specifically illustrated life in the wake of a storm and the laughter and tears that accompany them. Hurricanes, Rising Water... As Long as the Earth Lasts we plan to enjoy life down here on our Floating Palace. In our second season, we had lots of comedy about Louisiana and the south On The Great Big Doorstep. In our third season, we continued to dedicate our performances to culture and history in Louisiana with Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and These Are My People, This Is My Land. Season 4 promises to offer more of the same celebration of Southern culture with Steel Magnolias and the return of Okra
